Mario 64: Still Good After All These Years
Mario 64 was a recent impulse buy at Gamestop a couple of weeks ago. It was ten dollars for just the cartridge, a pretty solid deal.
What was once called the original 3-D bringer, is now a bright star in the video game heavens we now worship.
But, man, this game is still serious fun. Just picking up that Atomic Purple monstroscity of a controller makes it all worth while. But once you get into one of those painings and start "Woo-Hoo"ing and "Waaaaaaa"ing all over the place again, you'll find it's hard to put down.
The controls are still spot on. The camera, though strangely blocked at 360 degrees around, is still easy to work with. At this point I don't really bother talking about graphics and sound. I like to keep a good game in positive thoughts.
