HDTV Finally Works

When you swear up and down that something exists and then realize in a moment of pure brain gas that it is true that it does not exist...you like to forget those moments.

So a quick trip to Gamestop allocated me a $20 set of component cables for the Xbox. Seeing the 480p, 720i, 1080p options show up in that menu was a huge relief followed by rampant running downstairs and throwing all the Xbox games out onto the floor.

It was sort of like when I got my Atari 2600 back. I wanted to see what all the games looked like in Hi-Def, but the realized that prettier graphics don't actually make new games appear out of nowhere.

Burnout 3, Freedom Fighters and Crimson Skies looked like they were coming out of the latest Radeon card.

At last. $2000 later and I have a television that looks as good as Brian's sub-$1000 custom pc.
