PSP gets Quake, no one cares

I've never understood the PSP.

When you look at it, it's a beautiful peice of hardware. Side by side, I would have a tough time choosing between it and the DS. But the comparison points are short. Two screens vs. wide screen. Touch screen vs. ... well nothing. Cartridges vs. optical media. Creative games vs. ports and games that have to have the controls reworked and therefor giving the game a totally new gameplay because the PSP doesn't have dual analog sticks.

The modders are out there, doing there thing. Trying to help Sony, or themselves, make the PSP into a machine that can do more than watch movies. Linux, MAME, whatever. Quake II is the newest illegal port, a small pat of butter in a sea of mashed potatoes.

I remember, of course, playing GoldenEye on the N64, one analog joystick and some buttons. PC people may be more at home on a PSP with no joysticks, but I've tried playing PC shooters with no mouse and it sucks balls.
