Tourist Trophy: When Four Is Enough

I apologize to all of the idiots out there that assume a motorcycle will handle like a car, or even that a GP event is like a GT event. So if you play this game and expect GT 4.5, you are going to be dejected. The one thing I can give you about GP events is that as the event starts you are clumped with a mass of twenty or so riders. But as the race progresses riders will put large intervals between each other. So TT gives you the feel like you are well into a race and that you have some space between competitors.

Yes, a lot of detail is put into the engines of the cruiser style bikes with exposed parts. But to clarify a little, a lot, and I mean a lot of attention was put to the rider. They movement of the rider is very realistic, from the flick of the wrist to accelerate, the fluid like foot movement to shift, and everything in between. Being able to customize your riders’ stance is awesome. But as you progress through the game you come to understand that for different styled bikes you should use different riding styles.

The one thing we need to slap PD for is that they said the bikes are customizable. If you win a bike in a competition you were given a sport exhaust option. Aesthetically that’s it. What they mean by customizable is, tire compound, sprocket, exhaust (street or sport), and shocks. But there are special race bikes that you can win are very beautiful.

The third person – behind the bike view is nice to see the rider in action. But the first person view gives you a great sense of speed. Get on a R1 and barrel down the front stretch of Midfield Raceway and everything gets blurry real quick.

So yes, four is enough when riding alone is absolutely worth it. But I would suggest you get with a friend and play around a little. Some really cool photos can come out if you put some thought into it, and choreograph your ride together.

This game isn’t a must purchase for everyone. But it is for me!
