On Collecting Game Stuff
As I go on decorating my game room, I'm trying to only get stuff from games that I really like. I've gotten stuff from MegaMan, Zelda, Mario, Grand Theft Auto, Donkey Kong and Halo (here are some pictures).
I like unusual stuff like the Donkey Kong clock and the French stamps, but I don't mind posters, things from conventions that I can't go to ever, or even figurines. I loved putting up my Guitar Hero controllers as well, even though it did involve drilling holes in the back.
Now I'm looking forward to some new stuff. I would like to get something from Resident Evil. This T-Virus set is completely killer, even if it's from the movie instead of the game.
I'd also love to get something from Metroid. There's not much out there, sadly. This statue is pretty expensive. I would take a cardboard store standee or something too.
Now I never want to have as much stuff as some people do (halfway down the page), it's just insane. But so far I'm enjoying my game room and can't wait to move everything down into the basement once it's finished. After I recoup from that expense, I'm going to have a lot more room to fill up with stuff.
One of my plans is to get all my games out of cabinets and onto the walls for display. It's going to be great to see all that stuff out in the open instead of just looking at the spines of cases and tops of cartridges.
