Christmas Review: World of Goo (Wii)

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah (two days ago)!

In the spirit of which I was given 4000 Wii points to buy games online through the Wii, I'm returning the gift by buying World of Goo and reviewing it for you. I guess that's not really the same. But at least I'm telling you about one of the nerdiest Wii downloadable games (on PC and Mac too) that I've ever played.

World of Goo is a puzzle game about structure building. You have so many Goo blobs to connect together to build bridges, towers and other structures to reach a pipe for the remaining, free blobs to get to.

I love structure games like Jenga, Boom Blox (also on the Wii) and the West Point Bridge Builder that I picked up from my friend who is a tech ed teacher at a high school.

The difference with World of Goo to a traditional building simulator is that it's real time, the building blocks are cute. The reviews online are in the 9/10 range and I wish I would have spent the $15 on it a long time ago.
