The 2008 OOOHHHH Game of the Year
Okay, let me start off by saying. How can you vote for your game of the year when the year wasn't over yet? I still had some good play time to get with the holidays.
Now that I got that out. I agree with Mr. Justin on his take off which games are eligible for this year. Plain and simple, what games did I play this year. I don't care if it was Tecmo Bowl. If I played it, I had to come away with some sense of enjoyment when I was done. Also on that note understand that only one of us three has a Gamefly account, and I don't play every game, nor do I have multiple platforms. P.S. I hate achievement whores, see my "I hate this generation" post from Nov 2008.
Now on with my opinion on the game that most sucked me in. I didn't feel like such as looser spending countless hours (544 to be exact) playing, because I felt like I accomplished something when I was done. Oh, and by the way. If your "main intrests are first/third person shooters", how could you not like this game? I think we may need to dig deep into ones psyche to understand. I mean, this game was soo epic that even Nastradamus prophisized it. It's in one of his quatrains, I promise you.
So yes, everyone that knows me, it is no secret. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is the game of my 2008, and of my gaming career. I can't think of a game that mezmorized me into spending so much time playing. I don't need to explain the game, everyone knows it. And if you don't. I'll say a prayer for you tonight.
