Halo Anime in the Works
I've never been sucked into a video game world as much as I have been with Halo. I've got all the paper back novels, a nice poster for my game room, the graphic novel and of course all the games. Halo is a great science fiction body of work and has potential to go on for ever. From the military Spartan program that abducted children, experimented on them and suffered heavy casualties, to the awesome artificial intelligence programs that exist in military ships handle massive amounts of computing abilities. It's all dark and geeky to me. And I love it.
Case in point, the upcoming anime mini-series/film shorts that are being created by five different animation studios. It's just more fodder for Microsoft to spew on us and make us spend money. But this time, I'm happy to oblige them because of Bungie's development history and all the lure and cannon they put into their games.
I would consider this to be the anime equivalent of the graphic novel book, which was also a collaborative effort between multiple artists bound into a hardback book. Definitely interesting work.
