'Excitebike World Rally' Coming To WiiWare in November

Possibly the most exciting news for the Wii for me in a long time. These motion centric games are fun to move around and play, but the actual gameplay leaves me wanting so much more.

'Excitebike World Rally' Coming To WiiWare in November

Excite Bike World Rally

No matter how jazzed you are about a new "Excitebike" game for the Wii, the pair of game hypers in the video announcing "Excitebike: World Rally" have you beat. These kids pour on the suspense like it's the reveal of a Cleaver family dinner table entrée. Thankfully the announcement did include a gameplay-laden trailer for the new WiiWare release.

"Nintendo Wii is proud to announce that a new iteration of a classic Nintendo game is coming soon to WiiWare, and the name of that game is 'Excite Bike World Rally,'" one of Nintendo's two spokespersons announced in a video spot posted by Nintendo Everything. "The classic NES motorcycle racing game is getting an update for Wii, and it's coming out November 9th."

Amid terrifyingly soccer mom-ish gasps, the duo also reveals some details about the game.

"Just like the original, you race against rivals on obstacle course tracks," they state. "And you still have a track editor. But the game has been revved up for 2009. You can now play using the Wii Remote's motion sensor on top of being able to play the classic way using just the buttons on the Wii Remote."

There will also be a multiplayer mode available over Nintendo WiFi play, so assuming you aren't standing around the piano singing Osmond family tunes with your siblings like these two obviously are, you can connect with fellow "Excitebike" enthusiasts online.

What do you think of Nintendo's new "Excitebike" installment? How about the pair of suburban kids in the video? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
