SimCity for iPod

Playing with SimCity on my iPod has been really addicting. Not so much that it replaces my normal gaming time on my consoles, but during tv, it's almost as mindless. At least SimCity gives me something to think about while my tax money roles in.

And since I'm testing out blogging from my iPod, here are some screen shots I took from my city.

I love the games interface and big buttons. Zooming in and out with a pinch is nice and drawing streets and pipes with a drag is also well done.

There are a couple thing I miss from the real game. I miss have varied height terrain tools and all the landscape editing features. It makes using water pumps almost impossible. You make water ways or shrink large rivers. You also can't change the depth of the river beds to pass pipes easily.

Besides flat cites, the game plays just like SimCity 3000. And since I picked it up on sale for $3, it's definitly worth it.
