Path of Neo: Part 1

About 45 minutes into the game and I'm still real iffy about it. It's got great sounds, great cutscenes (though more trilogy montages than actual story fillers) and great fighting moves.

It's also got a graphics engine that even load hallways slowly, controls that are really only meant for standing in one place and beating up lots of people and a camera that only a programmer could love.

I finished the office escape bit in the very beginning and really was shocked at the horrible controls. Pushing down cops was easy enough, but get one shoved up against a wall and he'd bounce right back on you. I even managed to get one caught inside the door where a cutscene was supposed to take over but the damn guy kept bouncing back into me and keeping the focus of the game on me.

Slinking around the office building to dodge the agents was so buggy. Luckily they weren't really that smart to see me slide halfway across the hallway before managing to duck back behind a cubicle wall. And apparently sneaking in the game counts for nothing.

So, with so much negativity coming out in the first hour, some more of those mid-air ankle grip slams are going to be necessary to get the fun back into it.

Any thoughts on this?
