PS2 in CD: Clear Definition
Well I bought some new cables for the PS2, ones with component plugs for
it and the XBox. Strange though, the PS2 doesn't auto detect the output
type like the Xbox did. I had to go into the main PS2 menu and change it
from RGB to Y Rc...whatever...to get it to work.
Once I did, the picture was sharper, but noticably darker. It'll be
interested to see what it looks like for games that actually support
progressive scan. Apparently, just because games support 1080 and 480
resolutions, like that website said, and you can use component cables, it
doesn't actually mean that the game will look any better. HD is an extra.
So as soon as I can finish up Fable, I'll move on to Metal Gear:
Subsistence. It says on the box it supports "progressive scan". So I'm
slowly going to learn about the video world of the PS2. If anyone knows
anything, feel free to leave a comment and let me know.
