PS3: PS2 Inside

The word is that the word is that Sony is throwing in some old PS2 chips
to handle emulation while they get their emu software up and running.

So does that mean that first buyers with get a solid state PS2 in their
junk while later revisions get a possibly bugging or superior backwards
compatability solution? They are also saying that there will be numerous
different drives in the PS3's lifetime. So plan on them finding out later
that you got a bum Blu-Ray drive and need to replace it with
HD-DVD...because, you know...Blu-Ray will never be the standard (damn you
Sony and your proprietary formats!!)

Just another reason never to buy anything first adopter style from anyone
accept Nintendo. I may not have a svelt DS lite now, but at least mine
works just as good as the new one and my GameCube has been running
flawlessly for over 6 years.
